"The Impending Crisis of the South"
The publication of “The Impending Crisis of the South” in 1858 aroused many feelings. Though it didn’t do much until the Republicans began to use it as endorsements for their candidate Sherman. It spoke about the attacks of the planter class and encouraged slavery overthrow by poorer whites in the South. It soon became part of many debates and made the South so mad that they banned from their region. This could of have sent the country in a Civil War sooner if the South chose to act upon their angered emotions.
